Louro 2025


The new vintage of LOURO 2025 will be available  from the second week of next April, after Easter.


The climatology of the 2025 vintage is characterized by a winter and spring with cold temperatures, the coldest of the last four years, and quite rainy before the arrival of summer (400 mm), the perfect conditions for a great vintage. Fortunately, frosts didn´t affect production, as budbreak was quite late due to those cold winter and early spring temperatures.


Summer arrived drier and somewhat warm, typical in the area, which did not cause excessive damage thanks to the good water reserves the soil had retained from previous months. Little rain at the end of August and beginning of September helped somewhat to improve phenolic ripening, something very necessary to achieve great quality in a historic vintage. Harvest began on September 25, ending on October 15, thanks to favorable weather conditions.


LOURO 2025 is a full and great wine on the entry to the palate, intense and very tasty in the mouth entry (complex and with a strong fruity presence), with a structured finish, good acidity, yet rounded, with good phenolic ripening.


Its addictive and marked final salinity, that complex and at the same time pleasant side, confirms that we are undoubtedly facing the best vintage of Louro in history, a fact that is the result of perfect climatic conditions, the ongoing improvement and knowledge of the vineyard (years that keep making these vines and us as well, wiser).


The flawless and precise work of the winery team, head by our technical director Pablo Blanco, improving each year, enhances the singularity and such special conditions of our vineyards.
